The Cheer of the Giants

Such is the popularity of cheerleading at Huddersfield Giants games, session numbers are increased.

Constantly flowing applications to join the cheerleading programme have forced its training venue, The Zone, to increase the number of sessions they offer.

Giants cheerleading related classes have doubled over the last month, and numbers are still increasing.

Dance Studio Coordinator Zoë Prince believes,

 “Since the success of becoming National Champions, we have had a huge interest in all cheerleading classes and in particular the Giants ones.

 “Cheerleading is a fantastic way for children to have fun and keep fit at the same time, and we are the only venue in the area to offer children the chance to perform at professional matches.”

There are over 4million cheerleaders world-wide and the craze is sweeping the UK in a huge way, with Huddersfield Giants and Town boasting the UK’s largest cheerleading squad made of both boys and girls.
