British Open for Cheer of The Zone

The Zone Cheerleaders are representing Huddersfield in a competition which will see teams from as far as the USA competing for the British open title.

The Zone cheerleaders, incorporating Huddersfield Town and Giants will have over 50 team members competing in the ICC British Open in Nottingham.
The Zone is currently home to the UK’s largest cheerleading squad with over 300 members aged between 3 and 16 years old.

The squad already have a trophy in the cabinet for this year and are expecting more from this competition. There will be 5 teams entered into 3 categories, and trophies are predicted for 3 of those!

Head Cheerleading coach Zoe Prince states,
 “Representing Huddersfield in such a prestigious competition is a real honour for the teams. The cheerleaders are working really hard to prepare for this and they deserve to win the trophies.”

The British Open takes place on the weekend of the 21st March and the teams will be competing in competition, stunt and street cheer contests.
